Duck Pass and Pika Lake

Loooking for an absolutely stunning hike in epic scenery, but close enough to town to make it back in time for happy hour? Duck Pass! This trail runs through some of the most beautiful landscapes you can find anywhere, but it’s only a short drive from Mammoth Lakes, CA.

Duck Pass follows a moderately challenging trail at the beginning; if you choose to hike all the way to Pika Lake be ready for some elevation gain at the end; the views across the pass down to Pika Lake are worth every step. If you choose to hike just the beginning section of the trail you’ll still be rewarded with multiple beautiful alpine lakes, stunning mountain scenery and a perfect day out in the wilderness.
