Wilderness First Aid [WFA] 14 hours—2 days $295.00

[Does NOT include CPR; this can be added for an additional $55.00].

Location: Outside areas local to Ventura, Ca. to be announced prior to class start.

Basic wilderness medicine course. Useful for individuals who want more medical knowledge for personal travel or for organizations who are working in the backcountry but still have reasonable access to medical care (via helicopter, SAR team) or are not venturing too far or too long in the backcountry. Valid for 2 years.

Topics include: Patient Assessment; Critical Care; Vital Signs; Bleeding Control and Shock; Wound Care; Sprains, Strains and Fracture care; Spinal and Head Injuries; Environmental Emergencies: Heat and Cold; Bites and Stings; Allergic Reaction; Diabetic Emergencies; Cardiac and Respiratory Issues and more
