Red Rocks Hiking

If you’re ever in Las Vegas and need an escape from the hustle and bustle of the strip, make your way to Red Rocks National Recreation Area for a day [or more] of exploration! The incredible rock features are varied, colorful, interesting and the perfect place to hike.

The 4Points Staff was able to take a day off and explore through this wonderland of trails, off-trail climbs, hidden water holes, steep terrain and sweeping views of the surrounding mountains. The trails vary in length and difficulty, from short, steep routes to miles long canyons to hidden waterfalls.

Red Rocks are just outside of Las Vegas and there is an entry fee. Be sure to check the recreation area website for entry restrictions; during busy months entry may be on a reservation schedule. This park is popular both as a hiking destination, a climbers paradise, and a beautiful drive to escape the heat of Vegas during the summer months. Please be sure to check the forecast….hiking in this area in summer has risks! For more information hit us up and we can direct you to the information you need.
